In which country did Break Dance originate?
Break Dance is said to have originated from Bronx, New York City by the Afro American youths.
The story that goes with it is that somewhere in 1969 and 1970 a disc jockey and record producer Afrika Bambaata convinced members of his Bronx street gang to challenge and battle with their rival gangs with effective dance moves rather than guns and knives. This is what started break dance on the streets of Bronx.
As 70’s progressed, break dance underwent many changes and emerged with steps that involved hand gliding, back spinning, head spinning and rigorous ground moves.
