Have you ever wondered why we find one painting beautiful and the other average or not that appealing. This is all a result of the color psychology.

After you have created the sketch decide which medium you want to apply oil paint or acrylic paints.

The various aspects that will help you to decide which paint you would like to go into are-

  • Acrylic paints are good for beginners as oil paints require more finishing in application.
  • If you are a slow painter , intrinsic about details and cautious go in for oil painting but if you are worried about toxicity it is best to use acrylic paints.
  • Another aspect is the cost. Acrylic are much cheaper and reasonable price wise than oil paints.
  • Oil paints give more vividness and finish but take very long to dry whereas acrylic dries very fast.

Keeping in mind the above aspects I would suggest that if you are a beginner and want to provide your art a paint just to see the effect or try your hand at painting GO IN FOR ACRYLIC PAINTS and once you become a little skilled and master the technique TRY OIL PAINTS.
