How deep a hole should be dug for planting?
Each tree has its own unique features and therefore requires different treatment but one thing that is common is that they all end up in a hole. But the hole is also not ordinary, it has certain specifications that need to be taken care of.
The hole for planting a tree should be deep enough for the roots to access oxygen and wide enough for the root structure to expand sufficiently.
Simply put, the hole should be 2 -3 times wider than the root ball and not deeper than the height of the root ball.
