Does the game snake and ladders has an analogy with life?
The game originated in the 13th century and was initially named 'moksha patam'. The game was based on the ideology that the good deeds and virtues; represented by ladders will leap you forward in life while the bad deeds like arrogance, theft, disobedience etc.; which were represented by the snakes would lead to an individual's downfall. The last square of 100 points represented 'Moksha' or 'Nirvana'.
